let me guess, you went all out on the motor but did nothing to the tranmission, but added an oil cooler thinking thats going to help( i know the oil cooler keeps the transmission cooled) .... your putting down alot of power, reinforce your transmission, to aviod more problems, (sorry for any miss spelling)

I heard some bad stuff about those guys on the Lexus and supra forums ......how they claim they rebuild your engine but in reality they don't can say it happend to everyone but its something curious to considered

I got my info from

Lexusownersclub , and most of the negative came from ClubNa.com for those wondering

IPT Doesnt build engines they do transmissions.
Gabe built the engine, which so far anyway, has been pretty damn near bulletproof.

Any update?
Looks awesome!! Great job!!!
What does IPT have to say?
I'm having tranny problems and am considering them. I guess it's IPT or Level10.
Do you know how long the Boost Juice lasts??

Mr_Chunkz wrote:torque converter stalls at.... 3500rpm i think?

Now didn't Tony do that because of the turbo(s) spooling up?

heeey guys no update yet
thanks for checkin in

Got the trans out of the car. Truthfully I've relaxed on a time frame for the car... I just want it to come back together the right way.

I may shell out the additional dough to upgrade to the billet high stall converter, a custom piece by IPT to take some serious abuse. If another re-worked factory converter grenades I'm gonna be one pissed off m-fer

To answer the question related to meth, the meth is adjustable based on voltage from the MAF. While many try to relate the voltage based on boost, i find it changes based on percentage of throttle... I guess "load".

Originally at 3v min and 5v max, and according to my throttle position readout on my Neo, the meth jetted at around 60-65% throttle. I am running twin 175 mil nozzle ( thats 350mil of meth injecting!! ). As I was heavy on the throttle on the way back from Greg's to my house, in a day of dyno running and a drive out to Greg's house and back to mine, A Distance I would say about 200 miles or so ( 150 of them being the drive to Fontana and back ) I burned through 2.5 gallons of the stuff. And this, keep in mind, is very very heavy driving.

I tuned the meth box to turn on around 85 percent throttle, so it wont jet at the wrong times and conserve the meth a bit but never got a chance to really test it out, due to the bad torque converter.

Holy sh!t. 2.5 gallons. I didn't use that much on the ride back from Phoenix to Milwaukee. Mostly just cruising the freeway, so it really wasn't even flowing.
The reason I ask how long does it last is because I still have 2 gallons from Greg (the other one) sitting in my garage.
Good luck on the car, It really looks great.

yeah man the meth is great stuff
and i didnt think the dual nozzle would work but it doesnt bog and it actually feels awesome when it starts to jet....
Still... Im waiting to get back on the dyno to test that theory out. 1 Run 2 jets, 1 run single jet and see if it makes a diff...

Mine is plumbed into a throttle body spacer.
Greg (Anderson) told me it came on at 3lbs and maxed out at 7lbs.
I just can't wait (like you) to get this tranny issue figured out.
Wish me luck, I'm taking it into the dealership to see if they can run diagnostics on the tcu, ecu and the electrical sensors. They can check out more than the locals trans shop (who, by the way, said "the way to make the trans better was by using American made parts??" Whatever they're a bunch of Mopar guys.)
If that fails to check out I'll be calling IPT or Level10.
I have a call into Gabe, just waiting to hear back.
