Cool pixs. They provide a short trip down memory lane for me. I haven't been back to Vietnam ever since I came to USA in '93. Nice to see how much nice cars some people could afford there. Especially that Audi R8.

RX-8, BMW and Mercedes are nothing to them, dont even mention about Lexus, the rich peoples driving at least Porche, they have a Ferarri, Lamborgini, Bentley, Aston Martin, Lotus, Mascratti, Audi R8, Nissan Skyline GTR, Nismo Fairlady, whatever Supercar in this world, they will have ! some how i did not see a Dodge Viper. check www.vnexpress.com 24/7 news/rumours like CNN CBC.

Mercedes is cheap in Vietnam, aswell as Japanese cars, except the Lambo n Ferarri, dam it they paid 700k$ USD for the Lambo Diablo, due to the goverment and freit double tax, they are crazy rich peoples. the Tax in Vietnam is Double, if the Vehicle cost is 300 with tax will become 550 or 600. Yep and there alot of families have no food to eat, not even 1kg of rice, they went on the street for begging, this was the reason We Left Vietnam ! but now whatsoever, be cool to all.

Anyways nice pics, whatever America has, Vietnam will too, i bought most of my Celica accessory parts from Vietnam n Hongkong

PS: hey SleepSolara, those Turbo Anh Son will kill ur engine lol, unless u bring ur car back to Vietnam they have some mod n its will work :), Vietnam Cops look like an idiot, they looks funny to me hahaahah n American Cops looks Retarted :)

Anything import will be taxed, the thing is, If from America or Europe the tax is much much more, thats why "Ford, GMC, Dodge"+ European's car are popular in Vietnam, peoples from Vietnam like United-State products lol, anything that "Made in USA" they will buy ahahah,

i remember 9 years ago i bought a GUESS pant here for 200$ this pant specially Made in USA orginally from the big GUESS Jean Co. LTD. i brought it back to Vietnam n rich boys offered me 400$ USD no not CAD$ they asked me to sell for them for 400 USD$ Because its Made in USA lol.

I wanna go back there soon too.......

And I never knew about that 100% tax on cars in Vietnam as well. I thought that was just in HK, where they have the 100% new car luxury tax

Yeah. Vietnam does have their own Benz factory.
Vietnam will have most of what US of A has, but not the quality?? IMO, cause the A/C units over there are tiny compared to here. lol.

I know. The cops do look funny.

I haven't posted here in a while and i just thought i'd come by and say that cars not being expensive (any car) is a load of crap. My cousin over there when I was visiting is rich out of her mind and lives in a 6-story house (yea wtf i know) and the CLS550 she had cost $140,000 US when here it's around $80,000. So i wouldn't use the word cheap but compared to other cars in the country, maybe so. A toyota camry was going for 60-70 grand when i was there just a few months ago.

Im saying, the tax is Crrra-zy, one of the person in Saigon just bought a Toyota-Solara 2008 Convertible for 98k$ USD, its a Pure Red Solara Convertible, ya even Toyota Honda Mazda Nissan cost too much for them over there due to the high tax rate.

"All my infos are from vnexpress.vn.com"

What is 6 stories house ? i dont know what ya meant by that ? lol we were talking about expensive car n crazy tax rate in Vietnam bro, we dont show-off about cousin's or sister's assets/money/7-story-house, we discussing about the rich the car n the tax.
