does anyone know if it's stupid to add a universal muffler to an aftermarket exhaust like GReddy or Apexi? Only cuz I'm a lil more favorable to the oval look than I am to the large ass circle look. THanks

yeah... why bother paying $400 just to use the mid pipe.

just go for a custom setup. cheaper and probably will be happier with the end results.

the pipe jobs should run you 100-150. make they also including a resonator on the pipe, or your car will sounds really loud. 2.5" piping are more idel for you. the pipe bent job does effect the performance, but if your car doesnt have force induction, i doubt you will notice different.

the best thing for Greddy is that its street legal.

if you just want a loud exhaust...then get rid of the resonator get some bigger piping and get something that has a straight thru muffler, like thermal or something....thermal's are straight thru and are loud as hell...the shop where i used to get my car done at...told me bout how they did a normally aspirated civic with 4 inch piping..cuz the dumb little kid wanted it to be loud....i asked why he did it and the owner said..well " the kid paid me and i told him it wasn't a good idea, but he wanted ti done so, fair warning " so once he paid i did it....funniest thing i ever heard...well one of the funniest things anyways....

3' is already overkill for NA 4cylinders... what is that rice boy thinking?

if you want to be overall loud like no other, just unhook some pipes.

HKS:

why bother taking out the resonator and put in bigger pipping? it would be easier to get new pipping that has no resonator in it. the product will be able to sell for more once one wants to sell it.

If he's gonna get a custom piping job wouldn't the pipes be press bent most likely? If that's the case stick with 2.5 cause depending on the bend your pipes gonna colapse a bit on bends. If you want it loud go with a magnaflow muffler. Cheap and perforated core. Made my V6 Camaro sond like an 8. Make sure you go to a good shop though, the guy I go to gives it to me strait about the borla systems and stuff what your paying for is mandrel bends.

of course mandrel bend pipes on curves are best, 2.5 non mandrel will also do, but it wont really matter that much if the dude is gifted.
