DIY Stainless Steel Brake Lines?

DIY Stainless Steel Brake Lines?

Postby TadS » Sun Oct 05, 2003 1:50 pm

Has anyone done their own brake lines? I know I will need a 10mm flair wrench, but I wondered what you guys think on the difficulty of this upgrade. I ordered the part today, so I am hoping to install them over October break, which is next week. Also, where would I get a flair wrench? Would Sears carry it, or should I go to NAPA?

Thx

i got one from autozone for like $6 and they work nicely. you might also need a brake bleed kit or you can make your own one. you also need someone to help you tap the brake when you are bleeding the brake.

how much did you pay for the brake line?

I paid 135 inc. taxes & shipping from the Tire Rack. They were back ordered forever, so I thought I should get them while they're instock. Thanks for the info on the wrench I was actually concerned I wouldn't be able to get one easily.
