1) lose the caps lock 2) That is not a tutorial.

But my guess would be to unscrew the screws on the shifter, and see waht you can do from there. did you find an aftermarket shifter with an O/D button? Ive been looking...

a few guys on celica.net (5th genners and 6th genners) placed a button where the shifter is (for the od - kinda like a power/economy button on the lexus's). Hence, for those looking for aftermarket shifters...you don't have to restrict yourself to ones with an inbuilt button!

installation, you need to take out the OEM shift, cut the OD power (need real careful doing this if you don't want to take everything apart to get in the whole consel), rewire the od power line with the new shift, install shift, and da da you are done.

one more thing, once the OEM shift is cut and replaced, it's hard to put it back on...unless you really need to part out the transmission shifter and put extra wires to make it long enough.

imotorgear.com is the place you need, it's expensive to change for auto....(avg 80-110 ...stupid OD)

I was thinking the same thing too, if you really know how to DIY, you can get a shift W/O the OD, all you need is just an extra button/switch and customize to it somewhere near your shifter because the most important part is dealing with the OD wire, other parts is easy. I bet you can save at least 30 bucks.

You can check my razo shift pic at the picture section.

don't think so, since it's not a knob, you need to change the WHOLE shift for the auto
