Short shifter ???

Is it possible to install a trd short shifter, and feel no change? I had it installed about a 2days ago, and i dont feel any dramatic change. I really think Im supposed to but i dont. can some one help me?

something is wrong. who installed it for you?
if done properly, you'll notice a major difference. it was the best single mod i did to my car!

You don't feel a change?? That's weird!! After I installed my short shifter I was in heaven...I couldn't believe how I ever lived without it!!!

yea man ditto.... The throws are at least half shorter than stock...it frikkin amazing

most likely the install went awry..... coz you should feel a BIG difference

I knew there was something wrong!!! Because the first couple days I felt a dramatic difference, and now nothing? I think something came loose.

Im going back today and getting it fixed. Thanks PPL.

HNDA8R,
The throw should be shortened by 30%. I can't see how you could have a short throw for a few days then return to long shifts. Maybe you are just getting used to the short throw? Or maybe the new shifter wasn't installed - they just swapped the shift knob?

If something came loose, it probably wouldn't shift at all. The throw is goverened by the location of the pivot point on the shift lever. The pivot is a ball that is welded to the shift lever - it's a little farther up the shaft on a Short Shifter.

we cant really have a short shifter. having a short shifter does not only mean you shorten the stick lever in some cases, but primarily shortening the throws.

im trying to wonder if i can fit a Hammer shift or something what domestics are able to do to my auto, but i highly doubt it.

i was just saying that a stick shift especially a short shifter should be better not tha ti have one myself..since my car is auto...obviously...
