Used GUNK Engine Brite on the first pass, never again! That sh** stinks!! It still smelled after 4 days so I went over it with Simple Green MAX (1:1 Water:Degreaser). I'm pretty pleased with the results.

Excuse the cellphone pics but you get the idea, still completely stock (K&N big whoop). Couldn't even pop the hood without getting absolutely filthy before.

I always use simple green. I just spray it on go get the hose and by the time I get back she is ready to be hosed off

^Midias, out of curiosity, do you mask anything (aside from the air filter) off beforehand when you spray SG/water?

Yes guys, never use Gunk, it smeels so bad ... the odor stay for a full week and the first time u drive, it will smoke like hell.. I really dislike that product but it cleaned my engine bay.

Myself, I learned from the 1st time over to put paper towels in the bottom of the air filter to soak up any water that gets thru. I paid special care to avoid blasting electrical components with the pressure washer.

It was a spray bottle labelled Simple Green MAX, bought from Canadian Tire. I didn't see it listed on that site.
