I second that, no turbo on the car = no turbo emblem on the car. Once you get the turbo put the emblem back.
Trust me, I'm a technician.

^^ personally, even after the turbo is installed, i wouldn't put the emblem back on.

everyone will know you have a turbo when they hear the BOV :-)

...but that's just me....

haha Ok fine the emblem is off lol Now i gotta repaint my grill though, stupid double sided tape. Anyone got a injen for sale? My turbo piping is 2.5 inch, and the Ebay intake is 3 inch. not good. Project is really coming along though. turbo just came in from being rebuilt and resealed. Maybe it wont blow the new seals out. I'll get some pics soon guys.

sorry im late on this thread...how's this working for you? i was curious if your double sided tape on mesh has fallen off yet due to heat from engine? also, i know you made the heat shield to protect on rainy days but why didnt you go with the original idea to close it off with the piece you cut out? anyways i think this came out nice...im a fan of DIY/ Custom work

Its going good. I DID use double sided tape, and even in 100 degree weather during the summer, the tape held on good and strong. Gotta love 3M products. As for why I didn't use the original idea: I had some sheet metal laying around and decided to make a heat/rain shield, It was easier to use, and I could just leave it on. The shape of it made the water run directly around the filter, thus keeping it dry. I have since made my own cold air extension, and I no longer need the heat shield. The vent now mainly pulls hot air outta the engine bay. heres some Pics of my CAI.

not bad...i thnk you should clamp that hose though.
Does car run better now with your CAI mod? the reason i ask is from my experience CAI is usually good on high ends...doesn't it feel like you lost some torque now?

Oh yeah, I definatly felt a top end gain. Havent noticed alot of low end loss. Maybe I'll go do some burnouts and see lol. Also I clamped the hose, that pic was taken during the install. I placed the filter directly behind the fog light.
EDIT: Tried some burnouts this morning, popped a tire :(
