I dont know if they are worth getting powder coated. Cause getting them done may cost a pretty penny. But with that pretty penny to can get some other wheels.

I say just DIY Rattle can it.

This is the bronze i did on my last car with Kragen duplicolor bronze.

if black looks this good bronze might not be so bad, but what shade of bronze do you want.

ex. powder coated mineral bronze
he got it done for $150 each at Island's Powder Coating at 1322 Sta Anita Ave in South El Monte

you should be able to get it done MUUUUUCH cheaper than 150 a wheel. My dad got the rims for his 80 728 Camaro powder coated glossy black for 60 a wheel

Dam Fernando your ride is getting better n better everytime I see it.

You have to ask yourself one question??? How much do I like bronze???

IMO I think the bronze wheels will throw off the whole black theme you have goin.
What I would do first is do the DIY black headlamps and black out the fogs.
Even after that I still couldnt see myself bronzing the wheels, but thats just me.

Maybe try blacking out the wheel, glossy finish or flat, w/bronze lip. 8)

Well just make sure your home for a day.

NEED: Sand paper, news paper, tape, degreaser. Duplicolor: Adhesive Promoter, Wheel Paint, Clear.

-First you degrease the wheel.

-Then you sand the wheel down, you wanna rough it up so that the paint can stick.

-Then you clean down the sanded area with a wet cloth and let it dry.

-cover the areas you dont want to paint.

-3 coats of adhesive promoter. with 5 minutes between coats.

-3-4 coats of color. start out lightly, dont worry if its not covering all areas the first couple coats. So first and second coat is light, then get heavier 3-4 and maybe 5 if needed. 20minutes between each coat.

- Spray 3-4 coats of Clear coat. Once again start light then get heavy. with 15minutes in between each coat. The more coats, the shinier and clean the finish.

Let it sit overnight or so and it should be good.

(i didnt wet sand. not really sure how to do it. but you guys can if u want.)

This is the pictures of what i did. This was the first time i did it.

Silver didnt really do it for me so i did the bronze. much better!

And this is the finish product of the bronze.

Since you have your tailights and your corner lamps blacked out, I think matte black would look best! :D

I think bronze on the Gen 2 wheels might look a little funky, but that's just my opinion.

I'm throwing a set of matte black is300 wheels on my black Cam for my winter wheels. I'm pretty excited.

I think black would look better on your car. How much are you paying to do all the wheels?? Also what are you using??

I'm not sure how conducive the gen. 2 wheels are to a coated look. I've seen the flat-black option pictured above, which appears to be the only other decent looking option IMO. If you're going to do a coated factory wheel, it helps if it has a bit more of an aggressive design.
