J-rock introduction

hey, whats up guys and girls, my name's jeremy and i recently joined the message board. i bought a used 99 solara se a couple months ago and i LOVE it! it's black with a tan interior (yuck). i used to own an explorer with a bumping sound system (15" JLW3, 1000.1 RF BD) so i never got that interested in buying parts, until now of course.

current mods:
TRD shortshifter
30% tint all around (VA is gay)
17" ADR concept pro rims
clear corners
debadged (except for circular toyota emblems)
WR short ram intake
custom grill
silver dash trim
black interior dash/door accents
JVC kd-sh55 deck (with a pocket kit)

near future mods:
reverse glow gauges
exhaust (need some help deciding)
new steering wheel (my stitching has come apart )
new headlight/fog bulbs
ED type R34 bodykit
spray on interior paint??? anyone know anything about this stuff?

distant future mods (6+ months):
TRD supercharger
suspension
blah blah blah..... etc.

i've installed everything myself with the exception of the rims... (of course). if anyone has any suggestions i'd be happy to consider them, i've taken a good look around the site and i can see that ya'll know what's up. BUT! i can't understand why you all like the damn TRD bodykit... lol....

Welcome! I also have the Black w/ Tan setup. I would love to see some pictures of what you have done with your interior.

I think the R34 kit is the best one out right now, so it's not everyone .

Well we could all say the same about the ED type R34 bodykit But hey its all in a matter of taste and your own opinion.... "do whatever makes you happy"

don't worry, i've been waiting for my new paint before i take pics. i had a tree fall on her a couple weeks ago (hurricane isabel) and scratch her all up. BUT after a month long wait- she's finally at the maaco, took her in yesterday. SO, pics will be up this weekend, i promise.

Welcome. I'd like to see some pics, your mods sound somewhat similiar to mine. I dont know exactly what you mean by spray on interior paint, but I have a lot of my interior accented the same red as my car if thats waht you mean. Its on Page 2 on my Cardomain (click the www button), but ive accented even more than waht you see there.

By the way, I think a tan interior is cool, especially with a black exterior. Nice car!

Welcome J-rock. Are you in the DC Metro area? If so, check the events section. We're probably going to have another meet before the end of the year. We had one in August with good turnout. I like the R34 style front bumper but haven't found a good source for it yet. If you find on share the source. One place that advertises carrying it stopped sales due to a fitment problem. -JoeB
