Well I know I haven't been on here in a while but I would like to inform everyone that over this thanksgiving break... I totalled the Lara

I was driving down 55N onto Lake Shore Drive (Chicago) and it had been lightly raining. Well i took a turn to fast and hit the left wall, shot across 4 lanes and hit the other wall.

I need opinions on new cars I am thinking Subaru WRX 5 door or a mazdaspeed 3

anything??

Goodbye all

Try out those Infiniti G35 with a stick and a Honda S2000.

Sorry to hear about the car but it is just a car and it is replaceable, good luck in your search for future rides.

Vinnie!

Say it isn't so. You totaled the Solara? You're ok?

You should get another Solara. They are a great value and a very underrated car.

Like said above....Honda S2000 or maybe a Civic SI

Sucks to hear about the Yota... seems like that is happening more and more frequently around here. :-?

Ugh no VW's. I love the mazda3. Made in Japan and oh so sweet to drive. Easier to find parts compared to Subs.

Just throwin' this out there, but what about the cobalt ss turbo? Amazing performer for the money. I drove one the other day and was surprised how much fun it was. Sure, the interior is sh!t but otherwise seemed pretty solid. I've read the GM stage 1 kit for makes 290hp and 320ft/lb, while maintaining the factory warranty! Mean little car.

sorry but an S2000 isnt one i'd recommend as they are the worst car to have in less than ideal weather. Not trying to be negative but just watching out for you. Maybe a Civic Si would be a better since with slight mods, you'd be equal or faster than an S2000.

My vote goes for a cobalt SS. Drove one and tried out the zero-lift-shift feature and was instantly hooked.

Stay away from GTI's and Mazdaspeed 3's

I have a friend who had a GTI, it had constant electrical problems on top of the intercooler constantly overheating due to a design flaw with the turbocharger (i think its an 07 model) He kept the car for about 2 weeks and is now getting an STI or WRX

I have 2 friends with a mazdaspeed3 and they also have tons of issues with them, and they arent happy with its performance, ive beaten one of them in my 4 cylinder solara before.
