Dilemma

Here’s my dilemma:

I’ve already signed up to volunteer my ’04 Solara for R&D testing with Tein for their springs that they want to produce for the ‘04’s. The testing will take place in Nov. and it will take about 1-4 months to get the prototype springs and install them onto my car. My dilemma is I don’t want to screw up my car because these are just the springs and I heard it’s better to get quality aftermarket struts to compliment lowering springs, so should I:

1) Cancel the R&D, and wait for whatever aftermarket struts come out eventually and then go with the Eibachs (which are already out), or the Teins (when they start marketing to the public)
OR
2) Go ahead with the Tein R&D (get quality springs for free) and hope that aftermarket struts will be out by the time they install the prototypes. But, if no aftermarket struts are out yet, go ahead and install the prototype Tein springs.

What would you do? Advice?

how mechanically intuned are you? i'd say go for the springs, uninstall, popping your stock springs in and wait for some struts to come out.

in the end you get free springs.

however im sure once they put the springs on, they will have to do vigorous road tests, which will be taking agressive turns, stopping, and acceleration.

imho, i would just let someone else be the test piggy.

Yup, Spring only cost $200 in most cases....

If it's a test for JIC coil over... that's a different story.

I'm not mechanically intuned, and I don't want to risk screwing up my ride...so I'm leaning to go with your suggestions.

I guess I'm just impatient, and I want the drop ASAP! But, patience wins in this case. And my rims haven't arrived yet anyway.
