Adam, are the 1MZ camry brackets for auto and manual the same? I pulled one from an auto 1MZ ES300 and it was slightly different than the solara bracket.

^ No difference. I'm using a Gen 4 one on my car. The only diff I have seen are some are black, and sone are unpainted.

I wonder what's up with the ES300 bracket then. The length of the upper portion was totally off.

The one you sent me was like the one on my solara, but the es300 bracket was slightly off. Not only was the upper portion longer, but the bolt holes were skewed.

The hell? All the ones from the 1st Batch Gabe had made I pulled from 92-96 Camry's/ES300's, and are being used on both the Gen 3/4 Cam and Gen 1 Sol.

Have a pic?

It's hard to capture in a photograph, but the differences in the brackets were significant when I mounted them. Here's a shot of the height diifferences:

Notice the difference in the width of the lower and upper ends:

I pulled the es300 bracket from a junkyard 99 1MZ non-vvti. I guess that platform is the cutoff.

^ 99 ES300 was VVTi, so it was likely a '98. Funny enough, I think the one in my car right now is the silver style, and fits fine.

I thought the junkyard was off. The 1MZ is odd with parts fitment.
