Welcome. I apologize to rain on your parade but thats a 99-01 Solara at best, unless the whole front end was changed along with the center caps. The tail lights are from an 02-03 Solara but its overall a gen 1, not a gen 1.5 though.

hahaha kinda funny, anyways welcome and nice car none the less, recommendations would be the obvious

1) any OBX part you can get your hands on! headers, short ram air intake.. etc

2) if your looking for power... supercharge it, theres at least one for sale that i just looked at.

3) rims... some people like the stock rims or trading the rims from one gen to another, for me i like aftermarket, seeing as your car is black, id say either chrome or black painted rims! maybe up a size as well maybe 18x8.5 or 18x9 would be nice! dont cheep out on tires too lol

4) i dont know whats legal in LA for tint but id go limo for the back 3 windows and a super light tint for the front 3 if its legal if possible go darker, in BC, Canada no front tint is allowed :(

5) trd lip kits, theres a few in the FS section

6) exhaust, well since i HATE fart can exhausts and you have a v6 i would try to find or get a custom exhaust made with the obx headers with 2.5 tubing all the way back

2.5 obx header---resonator----high flow cat-----muffler

but the resonator and muffler should be true 2.5" as well other wise the acoustics will render it slightly tunerish i like the Growl our V6's make, i love my exhaust and thats what i did, minus the headers, still saving for those!

but there is also big brake kits that would complement your new rims if you go that route and etc! the options are endless!!!

just my 2 cents, enjoy! pm if you ever need to

^ Good call stringbean. Keep in mind though, if you supercharger, you're probably going to go with 3" exhaust tubing. In CA, legal tint in the front is 70%, which is basically the window with no tint. Yeah I know it sucks.

For rims, you may want to consider gen 2 17" rims. I have a set on mine, and they look great on our gen 1/1.5.

The OBX header will add 20 some-odd hp to your car, but will bring down low-end torque a bit.

ya theres always exceptions to these things 2.5 if N/A and 3 if SC, i went with 2.75 but thats because they had some left over from another car and i got it cheep lol,

the OBX header torque loss could be compensated by the SC lol, like i said the possibilities are endless for MarcoSolara02

Have fun with it ya!! :)

come through to our upcoming meeting in about 2 weeks. There you will get a good idea of what you want to do with your car.

a few supercharged cars will be showing up. Make sure you go.

check out the post in the EVENTS section

as far as mods go

I would say drop it first, get your self a TRD rear sway bar.

if you want style go for the wheels, tint, etc....

if you want some GO when you hit the gas. Look in the For sale section
and if you can get it i would recomend getting the supercharger.

If not that then just go with the Injen sri, exhaust.

There is many things you can do to your car, but just keep in mind this is not a honda where you can find parts real cheap.

These cars are pretty expensive when it comes to performance...

good luck and enjoy the new ride.
