Flowmasters on a V6

Flowmasters on a V6

One of the next ideas for my Solara is gonna be an exhaust system, Im not about the Single pipe WHINE or the BUZZ, I want to know if any one has done a dual Flowmaster on a V6 Auto, I want big tips, I want two tips, that are large like the Aftermarket exhaust on the Greedy. I know this will be all custom, just wanted to know if any one had any experience with this before?

I'm pretty sure no one has done this, but I thought about it as well. You may run into a problem with the spare tire whell. Furthermore, my friend has a 40 series Flowmasters on his firebird, and although it sounds Incredible...its on a muscle car. i don't think a flowmasters would sound right on an import. If you do go with it...i'd be excited to see or hear it though.

How about some twin magnaflows? Those things sound great.

hmmm...since the v6 engine is bigger there shouldn't be a whine like what comes from 4 cylinders..if you want a really loud exhaust get a thermal.....and old friend had a thermal exhuast on an integra...made the car sound like a V6 roared but no high pitch sounds.....

Well Im not out for a Deafing exhaust, but I do want to be heard, I have seen the and heard the twin magnaflows, I like it but seemed a little too buzzy for me, I much rather a deeper tone more of a thunder roll not to sound tacky, The shop im gonna use can bend pretty much anything, so the spare tire well doesnt worry me much, but the only thing i worry about, is the tips, its gonna make or break the system, I want big rolled tips that are short but wide, I dont want long tips like on most cars, HKS im interested in this thermal exhaust, tell me more or maybe some pics, Its new to me....

The wierd noise is all depend on the resonator you choose. my 4 banger always sounds good because i used a huge cherry bomb resonator.

well for one thing i don't know if thermal is still around i haven't heard much bout them...last time i heard a car with one on was like 4-5 years ago...im pretty sure they're still around..but you might wanna check it out. But anyways the universal thermal muffler is straight through, meaning no bends, which means better airflow but it usually means louder than other muffler designs, i persoanlly like my exhuast's loud. of course there are lots of other mufflers out there..i would say get the muffler, get some custom piping done get rid of the resoantor and set it up like that.....i was thniking bout getting a 5Zigen border muffler and having some custom piping run....the exhuast tip can always be welded onto just about any muffler, and there are lots of places where you can buy the exact tip you're looking for and have a muffler shop weld it on to any muffler you want etc...etc...
