2 Canyon Pics

Pics came out good. Next time there's a run, someone remind me to not blaze w/Frank beforehand so that I have sense enough to not drag my feet and follow someone who isn't even headed to GMR!

so when we left the parking lot to go to gmr, you were trying to follow someone that you thought that was going to gmr but didn't?? lol, epic fail on Danny's part (guy who "organized" the gathering to go there)

but yea, it was great to drive with other fellow camry/solara/avalon owners, nice pictures, they came out nice. :)

I did what I could to try and keep our group together for the most part (waited for a large enough opening in traffic for you guys to follow, purposely delayed the first left turn since I knew it would be too hard for everyone to move over in less than 1/8 mile, and waited at the bottom of the road for the rest to catch up). The only other thing I could suggest would be that, since you and several other people know how to get there, maybe I should lead the group and you guys could spread out amongst the group in case we get separated. Also, it was my understanding that Bach wanted to join us too for the run, but maybe he changed his mind?

Anyways, it sounds like everyone had fun and hopefully you can help me organize it better so there's less confusion.

nah, no worries man, I wasn't bashing on you or anything, its all good. I know how to get "there" but I don't know how to get to the freeway from the SG meetup spot from the park. (I don't have GPS so yea its fail on my own part). It's just that you ending up going all fast after you exited the parking lot, and then thats when some people sorta got lost. aka = me, kyle, and the white 4th gen camry guy (sorry, i forgot your name)

the thing is, you have to compensate when people need to exit from the lot (people need to go slow exiting out, ex: lowered cars and need to watch out for traffic as well of course). you can just pull off to the side immediately after that lot exit so people can gather up or somewhere straight up ahead where its safer and such, but yea, I'm sure you get the point.

argh, I'm starting to sound like some guy on an anti-war protest or something, but don't take it that way, lol

in short, it was a fun drive never-thee-less :)

damn i wish i had anything with turns and mountains here!! stupid chicago square blocks. biggest "sweeping" turns i have are the offramps on the highway lol.

Chubbi the avalon looks great!!! my brakes tend to heat up to a bit.. curse or chubby avalons :). can't wait to drop mine and my engine build.. did you repaint ur lip or is just the reg. black garden/garage door lip? I'll get a subtle garage one for mine since its white. more pics? :P
are avalons supposed to be this fast?

Thanks everyone for the support. yea i know my next mod is going to be a big brake kit. but after that i need to get wheels since the rotor wont fit. Yes it is a gardenliner lip, i painted it and added detailing nails so it would look cleaner. sorry no more pics till the next meet. :D

a BBK would be nice of course, but do you really need it?? I would suggest saving the money and do otherwise. of course, its your money and car so its up to you. :)

I myself run upgraded 2-piston brakes off a v6 camry, hawk hps pads, brembo blank rotors, goodridge stainless steel brake lines, and valvoline brake fluid. It stops my camry very decently, from downhill runs to even at the track (streets of willows) from about 95-100mph from the straights. And it stops very consistently with little to no fade at all. Also, tires play a role in terms of stopping power. If you roll on stock tires and a BBK (lets just imagine this here, of course it wont likely happen since it wont clear) that BBK wouldn't be put to good use, as upgraded performance tires plays a role in terms of stopping power as well.

just giving you my thoughts :D

Street tires + OEM shocks + Alot of HP = a very bad combination lol

I have a set of Sportmax 962 racing rims on Nexen performance tires sitting in the backyard, just wait for tuner lug nuts to come in the mail. I also just ordered NEX coilovers. My Z should be ready for the next "cruise" lol

When we went to Angeles Crest, I was on tires with 30% life left and blown coilovers.

Skill my friend, skill :drinking:
