Hi everyone,

We are proud to announce the official release of LUX, our new brand of the world’s first glare-free xenon product line. Now you can have the affordability and convenience of a conversion kit as well as the functionality and performance of HID projectors, all in one easy-to-install product.

Because this product/technology is fairly recent, the only bulb sizes available are H1, H7, 9005, and 9006, and the only colors available are 4300K and 6000K. Starting late March, H4 will be available as well in 4300K and 6000K.

Each complete LUX Xenon Conversion System comes with:

Two (2) LUX No-Glare Xenon Bulbs
Two (2) LUX 64-bit DSP Ballasts
Two (2) LUX Bulb Adapters
Two (2) Rubber covers (to keep out dust and moisture)
Remote Receiver w/ accompanying wiring harness
Remote control w/ key-chain

One great thing about our LUX products is that if you already have an aftermarket HID kit installed on your vehicle and you’d like to upgrade your system to a glare-free setup, all you need to purchase is our LUX Replacement Bulb Kit. It comes with everything that a complete kit comes with minus the 64-bit DSP ballasts. Please view our separate thread if you're interested in purchasing just the bulbs.

We do highly recommend purchasing a complete kit though because the ballasts that come with are truly top of the line and better than our newly-released 3G ballasts. The only downside is the larger form-factor but aside from that, the quality of the components is amazing and the efficiency and performance of the ballast have been tested and the results are very impressive.

Im still seeing a big blob of glare above the supposed cutoff..not really a "glare-free" product...

Maybe by glare-free he means that they don't charge extra for all the glare, if they did that kit would cost thousands

Hi everyone,

JMSinMaryland: The cut-off is not supposed to compare to the cut-off you'd get with HID projectors. We are simply comparing the cut-off we're getting with the LUX bulbs to how they are normally when unadjusted, such as in the Passat's "before and after" pics.

GzNutz: Standard HID bulbs cannot be adjusted to match the reflection emitting point (REP) of OEM headlamps. In some cases, the HID bulb's light emitting point is the same distance as the OEM halogen bulb so glare is significantly reduced. However, if that is not the case, the remote-controlled adjustability of the LUX product line allows the user to move the bulb to match the REP and significantly reduce glare.

xavier: You are correct. Glare is inevitable, at the most LUX is a glare-reducing product. We will work on our tagline, we don't want to falsely advertise our products.

trd4life: Thank you for your input. If you can clarify which parts you don't think are good, we'd love to improve upon them.

MistedTedster: DSP stands for digital signal processing.

Mr_Chunkz: The projector comparison is because of the cut-off you get once you reaim your lights with the remote. It's impossible to get it razorsharp, but you would be lying if you said they're exactly the same as your typical HID kit cut-off. That's the angle we're working for. Plus, they're much cheaper than getting a retrofit done so it offers a cheaper, more convenient alternative.

Not really bashing the quality of the kits, just the intended functionality. I don't really see a point in trying to improve a PnP hid kit in a halogen reflector. The cost of hid projectors have come down quite a bit and pricing your kits at $170 is basically pricing yourself out of the market. the only reason why people put these PnP's in halogen reflectors is because they are on a tight budget so being the "top-of-the-line" PnP hid kit won't really get you anywhere when you are competing with $60 PnP kits.

In all honesty, I want to see all PnP kits go up in flames because of the unavoidable glare that ends up tanning my eyeballs but I know it wont happen.
