Junk In Her Trunk

Those of you who've heard this already know that this does the job.

New sounds setup in my TSX

Alpine 12" Type X ( 1000w rms, 3000w Peak )
Alpine PDX 1.1000 ( 1000wx1 @ 2 OHM )
Sound Ordnance Bass Bunker 12" Sub Box ( 1.85 Cu Ft, 38 Hz Ports )
Power Acoustik 2.0 Farad Capacitor
MTX RE-Q Active Line Out Converter + Bass Restoration Device ( interface for my factory Navi to Sub )
Dynamat Extreme Entire Trunk, Trunk lid Twice, and license plate.

All wires are Scosche EFX and/or Monster

Image
Rolling mode

Image
Install.... I wish that power wire was tucked better

New problem:

With 100 Lbs more equipment on board, my car sags in the back ( also from uneven pavement ) but look at that tire gap difference.
Time to get some adjustable suspension 8)

the Type X hits very loud inside this enclosure, with a bit more definition... it seems less "rumbly" than the type R in my solara.

I wanted a type X because for this system I wanted something with more wattage and sound than my old Type R + V12 Amp. Two subs was out of the question for me, as I use most of my trunk space, even this single box I requested to not be bolted down so that I could simply undo the terminals and slide the box out.

Right now the sub and amp are hooked into the Re-Q with just factory speakers. That, of course, will not be the case, but leveling out the suspension is a little more important than mids and highs right now.

Eliminating the factory radio was out of the question, since my touchscreen nav controls my HVAC... otherwise I would have gotten a good head unit.

All in all the sound is pretty damn brutal and produces enough SPL to bend my window, trunk and roof all at the same time, and I'll never play it that loud, so it works for me.

For the lack of energy from being sick that night, I realized how horrible the pics were that I snapped of my sound system.
