Tire stretch: 215 40 18's on 8 inch wide with Sick fitment

In my optic to always do things unorthodoxly,

I buyed I mean bought myself a pair of 18 inch tsw kyalamis, 8 inch wide

and a pair of nankang ns2 215 40 18

hoping for that stretched look....

haven't put anything together yet, but hoping i'll get that wheel coming out of the car look...

with an offset of 40, I'll prolly need spacers to achieve that look...

including fender roll and maybe a pull...

here is what my car looks like with stockers

Image
I'm excited to recieve everything...

I'm lowered alot by the way

so here's my question: leave it the way it is and it fits nice and snug or...

im for it.

but 215/40 on 8" is not stretched

You need 8.5 at 215 or 9 at 225/21. And if you want poke u need low offsets.

^X2

+40 is a poopy offset :D

And I'm totally against the practice of using spacers. It's all about the offset.
Trust me, I'm a technician.

215/40 will be ok.. but 205/40 will give you a better stretch.

Tire stretch on an 8" wide wheel on a Gen 1 is worthless. Speaking from experience. At least go 8.5".

18x8 i would go with a 205/35 that will gave u a ok stretch. but if u do go with a 18x8.5 and u want some nice stretch go with 205/35

215 on an 8 is no stretch
or... minimal.

If the tire runs narrow, you might get a slight stretch on the eight.
My wheels are only 18x7.5 and the Kumhos are 215/45
There not really "stretched" but they aren't wider than the wheel.
If it ran a straight edge across the face of the rim,
it wouldn't touch the sidewalls. But that isn't a stretch.
Trust me, I'm a technician.

we see the tires slightly stretched, not too much

Image

rim sticks out a little, just perfect.

I've hammered in my fenders, will hammer some more tomorrow, but what's next?

1) camber kit
2) change springs for less agressive
3) fender pull, wich i have no idea how to do, no info on web...
4) hammer some more
5) hammer even more
6) hammer the >>I'm a douche<< out of fenders
7) other ideas except : get coilovers

Looks like my current stance, except my offsets are much lower in back, which is why my camber is at about -1.35 deg. If you pull, then that defeats your current goal of being flush, as it would widen your fender slightly.

Not exactly hellaflush but better than most of the solaras out there. Hellaflush would mean you wouldn't be able to see under your fenders...

I think what you need is to shave the rears and get some 10 or 15mm spacers. That would make you much more flush. What kind of springs are you on? Cut stocks?
