NOS plus SC?

NOS plus SC?

Is anyone running an upgraded pulley ( 5.5psi ) plus nitrous? If so, how did you compensate for the extra fuel needs?

Not to mention its a waste. Unless your solara is going to be raced legitamately for money, why would you need it?

It may be a waste but you do get to say "I GOT NOS"

It's the wow factor

Even though it may be a waste, im interested to see if anyone has done it? I've seen a few Solaras and Camerys running NOS but i havnet heard any horrific stories yet?

Reallie interested in further information.

Why would anyone do it when it's a waste?

Actually, it's not a waste, it's just dumb. SC tends to make the engine run lean. With the extra air from NITROUS OXIDE (not NOS, NOS is a BRAND), you are going to run lean for sure.

Good point, but there are people, even on this forum that are running.. (EXUSE ME), nirous oxide on their supercharged cars... my question was simply if they did experience any difficulites.....

The difficulties will be finding a settings on the S-AFC for spraying NOS while boosting. The problem is, how do you switch back and forth from the normal SC settings to SC+NOS settings.

we all know nos is a company but doesn't it also stand for nitrous oxide system? which doesn't it then make it legit to say i'm running nos? jus curious :D

also why is it a waste? in that sense wouldn't the trd s/c be a waste or an exhaust system and intake system be waste?? why are we all even fixing up our cars anyways?? jus some food for thought

Scuba, Im not sure about that, but it doesn't matter based on the fact that people use these words every day

Bondo

Soo for all the smart guys who say

"ITS A NITROUS OXIDE SYSTEM NOT NOS"

I would simply say "SORRY LET ME USE MY INK CORRECTION FLUID TO FIX THAT" (WHITE OUT)

haha funny but I totally agree. NOS is generally accepted to mean nitrous oxide so theres no reason to get asinine about it

Anyway, running nitrous + boost shouldn't be a huge problem. If you set your afc for the nitrous + boost then just boosted, you would simply run rich because you would be injecting extra fuel that was meant to compensate for the nitrous. Besides, saying the supercharger itself runs lean is simply not true. It actually runs a little rich in order to keep itself emissions legal. Most of the people running the afc lean themselves out for more power at 5.5psi. If your going up to 7, well yes, then its a different story, but few people are at that level.

If you want to boost and squirt I would drop the compression to give the motor a chance of living. As for fuel you would go wet, that would solve the tuning issues. I'm thinking of selling my low compression heads and going back to a high compression low boost setup, so if you want to squeeze talk to me.....I will make you a killer deal on the heads.

Why are you thinking of getting rid of your new heads Eric? Problems, or do you just want to head (!) in another direction?
