Hey y'all,

I saw a used TRD set of springs and bilstein struts on my local ads. The sellers claims that they were on a car in a showroom. They were used only for some test drives... He asked for 500$, I offered 400$ and 2 weeks later as of today, he e-mailed me for 450$.

Should I go for them? Is it a good price? And most importantly, is there any way to see/verify if they are good/functional?

Here's some pics posted by the seller in the local ad, they seem dirty and old...

The guy also has other car parts for sale, so maybe he really works in a dealer.

That last picture is stolen. IIRC, that's former SolaraGuy Arief (username happy_aggies)'s car.

^^

Thanks for the info! Is there any way to test the struts/springs to see if they are any good without putting them in a car?

Dang, those things are beat up. Occasional test drive my arse. Besides, you can get a set of new springs and kyb struts for about that price.

You could pick up a better set for $450.
You could even get new, at about alittle more than $450.
