Stainless Steel Brake Lines

What Stainless Steel Brake Lines are available for Solara? I've seen posts on the Goodridge Stainless Steel Brake Lines, but I went to there site and checked their application guide and only brakes lines showed up for the Camry.

fyi, we share the exact same platform as a gen4 camry.

so their 4 wheel abs is identical to ours. brakes, calipers, brake lines, etc.

Can someone that has bought the Goodridge S/S lines from Tirerack help me? I called them to order the lines and they said they don't have them for my application (99 Solara SLE). I told them they are the same as the 99 Camry with anti-lock brakes. They told me they don't list them for the Camry either. What did you specify when you ordered? Do you have a part number from Tirerack? I gave them part number 21064 and they said that part number didn't mean anything to them. :roll:

Yeah they have them. I ordered them from their website, last month, and had them in 4 days. As a heads up to the guys with rear drums, you'll have to do the drum to disk conversion to put the ones they have on the back end. This is probably a good idea anyway, so good luck. The fitment on the front is really nice, and as soon as I finish collecting all the bits I need for the rear disk, those to fit nicely also. The part is identified as, PN: 21064 Camry V6 8/96-2000. The kit comes with everything you need except the tools. Don’t forget to pick up your 10mm flare wrench

when replacing the brake lines, do u have to bleed them? if I got the steel brake lines, would I need to get the speed bleeders 2?

Bleeding is not your biggest worry and yes, you have to bleed the lines.

I must stress: remember to get the 10mm Flare Wrench, if you don't have one, go buy it. Unless you want to be like me and have the car sit on jackstands for 2 weeks.

If you don't know what a flare wrench looks like, do a search on www.google.ca

Arief, I had the same question. The nut on the stock bleeder screw is 8mm and the application guides show 7mm and 10mm for Toyota. I called Russell Performance (now part of Edelbrock). They said they don't show an application for Solara but since our brakes are the same as the Camry, they show as 7mm (639570). By the way get them at Summit Racing for half the cost $9.99 / pair.

Scottv6, You will need 4 total that's 2 sets of 2 bleeders. I'm not sure why they sell them in sets of 2 rather than 4. Total $20 at Summit Racing. -JoeB

i know it's alot of work, but can someone do a tutorial or somethin' on this. sounds like a heafty job, but i'm up for the challenge. for starters....davpak, could you hook us up with a diagram maybe?
