Tinting rear window

Tinting rear window

Postby SolaraDK » Mon Aug 02, 2010 3:23 am

I would like to know how you guys in here have tinted your rear window, because the company i have talked to says it's going to be a problem with the "black dots" in the top of the window.

Is there any suggestions about what to do about those? And if possible please post some pictures from the inside and outside of the rear window, so i can see what you have done :)

I'm going to assume its just like tinting any normal window. Mine was already done when I bought the car in 07...no problems

Mines is just cut off once it touches the dots. From the outside you can't really tell. If you do tint over them hopefully you'll be lucky with no bubbles. It's a risk you have to take or like I said cut off once it touches it.

The tint won't stick to the dots on top, so it just depends.

ya i got mine tinted and the dots + the tint make it look weird, what someone suggested to me was to buy a strip of black vinyl the exact size of dot strip and it'll look flush
