break boosters

I took my 2000 solara in for 5000 checkup it has 75000 when I picked it up ut had a faint hissing took it back they check and said breakboostes
but not to worry now unless breaks becomes hard or it leaks. my question is how long can the car go before I should take it in. they quoted
1200 with 15% discount because they didn't tell me then. Its really not loud but It does annoy me. But if I could hold off I'd like to have the money
in hand.

Those jokers are trying to rip you off. $1200 for a brake booster is outrageous!

Welome. Brake booster job should not be that much. You should get the issue addressed though.
