midias, u seem to kno the most about the sound, do you think adding the 18in resonator should cut it down and take the rasp away? the guy said its pretty much a muffler that hes putting a little after the 1st "resonator" i believe its the perforated one? not 100% sure

A 18 inch resonator should help take some of the rasp away. Also some of it may be a design of the muffler.

Uploaded some videos of how my car sounds.

This first video is a very short clip of revving my engine in neutral.

This second video is of three 0-60 runs I did today.

sirthomas you just REALLY made me miss a supercharger whine! it's pretty quick looking at the speedo! actually quiet in car too. in my car the drone is soo bad. hopefully getting fixed/better tomorrow getting the 18in resonator in and second o2 bung installed.
are avalons supposed to be this fast?

Lol sorry bout that! I love the S/C whine too.

The video doesn't do the sound much justice. The drone is most noticeable when I'm just cruising though, and you've got that booming deep deep tone minus the S/C whine. I think while boosting the exhaust is actually muffled better, something about higher RPMs and exhaust pressure perhaps?

I was driving through a parking garage on campus the other day and I made THREE car alarms go off haha! People walking by were like "What the hell?!" I couldn't help but smile.

How come you're getting another o2 bung installed?

I'm getting the second o2 bung installed because for some odd reason avalons have the o2 sensor on the opposite side of the exhaust then camrys. mine is on the passenger side when i guess it's supposed to be on the drivers side. I'm EXTREMELY picky when it comes to my car, i'd rather have nothing at all then something i may not like. if the 2nd resonator still doesn't make me happy, my stock exhaust is going back on and i'll probably just get a cut out to get the high flow needed for the 3mz when its done.

solara90 - that sounds WAY quieter then mine in car, but then again u have a 2az and stock headers and cat :( i think the jpp made the sound most obnoxious in my car, i'm hoping addign the second muffler helps

Look into the megan OE it is designed to be quiet or make a custom like mine. Thinking again maybe you best bet is to remove the muffler for something a little more quiet but keep the pipe. On a side note the OBX is not all that loud but you want a SC sometimes I think older greddys were designed with some rasp in mind to please the rice crowd.
