Sylvania 2721 bulbs...in colors! and LEDS!

Well on the website for the dome light it has 2 size but with the same bulb number, both should fit becuase the one i'm using now is different than the OEM size.

A/C , transmission, glove box are all 2721 = 74 ....

Does the sunshade panel using 74 also? I looks like it to me but not sure, anyone can confirm it?

n/m sunshade panels are NOT 74s...they are the ones the use as in the car charger adaper ...

ok, bulbs arrived, but after i got the super white led to the 2 AC, and it burnt fues ...i said i put 4 new fuese and it still burnt, anyone know why? but they look REAL GOOD on the speeodmeter..will take picteurs laters..

which bulbs did you order for the gauge cluster? clear focused, inverted?

i was looking at the 194 bulbs for the gauge cluster which has like 10 different 194 bulbs.

before i meant the 2721 = 74

194 bulbs i got Razo..which is 15 bucks per pair...but they are whiter that any other brands i tried...rayberg, piaa, prolorg and some cheap a$$ brands..

But the only thing I warn you all that wants to change your dash is NOT to get the LED Bulbs, i got total burnt fuses is 7..took me the whole weekend to finish and figure out what went wrong...and now somehow my turn singal is 3x faster.... :evil:

The turn signal goes faster when there is something wrong with it like a bulb out or a blown fuse would do the same, I imagine. Might want to make sure they still work.

bulbs is original OEM, fuse are new, nothing else i could think of

LEDs in the corner lights should blink faster because of the way the timer works. I found this info a while ago on howstuffworks.com, but I cant really explain the details. Bascially, you need the "LED load equalizer" they sell there to make it blink the correct number of times.

I'm still trying to figure out what 194's work best in the dash. I tried the oval lens and they didnt come out too well. I'm going to try inverted next. (I have #194 red bulbs in now, but looking for something that will light the needle up brighter if possible)

Also, note that LED's, unlike bulbs, are polarized. If it doesn't work when you plug it in, turn it 180 degrees and plug it again, and it will more than likely work. I think maybe if you keep them on the wrong polarity too long, itll blow the fuse.

I think the back dome is a 36mm festoon. A 31mm will work, but requires a little wiggling to fit and work. The front dome isnt even a standard festoon style bulb, but it might work anyways. I'll give it a shot this week.

I dont think anything this site sells will fit into the vanity mirrors though. The clips look too thin.

If you can get the colored lens out of the gear indicator on the dash on an AT, the #74 LED's look real nice in there. Ditto for the dash turn signals, but i havent found anything good to replace the old green lens with. It's really bright when theres no lens, so i stuck a piece of paper in there for now.

even NOTHING is LED and my panel still burnt and burnt and burnt, i'm so freaking piss now, this stupid crappy thing burnt 10 bucks worth of 7.5 fuses

I have the some red 74's (LED) in my AC control Box w/o problems, you think your problem started at the Signal Bulbs, or do you think you got some bad LEDs? Man sorry about your problem by the way; I hope you get a new cluster arranged.

Thanks, well it came out that i use 30 instead 7.5 fuse for the panel and it works, but i can't use the dimmer anymore (the light bulb switch)...since i burnt the left and right signal on the circut board, i do need a set of cluster, but everything seems to be OK...i guess..

I got the 6X hyper blinkers :wink:

but yeah LEDs in the turn signals do make them faster

sucks to hear youre in this bind man.... maybe just go back to something simpler?
