Rear Oxygen Sensor Simulator for '02

On my 2002 Solara, I have traded my triple cat exhaust for a Y pipe with a single cat, which resulted in a check engine light for low cat efficiency. I tried the simulator from Jim@FA without success. Has anyone else been successful keeping the computer happy with a modified exhaust on a 2002 model?

Conversely, has anyone installed the JP exhaust on a 2002?

Try Mark at Split Second, we just did a Matrix with no cat and his box worked.
