Service Question

how do you find out what kind of service has be done to a vehicle? can you get this info on the internet for example i want to know if certain things have been to my car @ 60k but i don't know how to get this info please help me thank you

60k is a big service. Just take it to a dealership. If you're thinking about trying to do it yourself you can do a lot of it by yourself but I think at 60k you should probably just take it in. I don't remember what all they do, I'm about to go get it done myself.

I could be mistaken, but can't you go to KellyBlueBook.com to find that out? You just need to have your VIN number to enter in, and I think they will be able to tell you if there has been any major services done to your car. Don't quote me on it though.

Just a little side note too...I didn't do any major service on my car until my 60k so i totally skipped the 30, and the car still ran great! Well...except for the whole thing with the throttle body haveing a bunch of gunk in it, but that's totally fine now because i got it cleaned.

Yeah sumone (im not sure if it was kubi) but theres a toyota link that you go to and enter the number of miles you got on your car and it pop up with what things you have to do... pretty helpful

so go back a week or two... or search for it on this board

there is definetely a thread on here listing exactly what you need to do...i would recommend against taking it to a dealership tho, u can get things done for much cheaper elsewhere. u can also change ur coolant urself and save money there, cuz its really easy. other things that i did were get my oil changed (of course), and get new spark plugs (recommend denso iridium ik20s) which i also installed myself and saved 100 bucks. some ppl get the water pump and timing belt changed, but i decided to hold off on those til about 90k. finally, get your transmission drained and filled. i dont recommend a power-flush because they can put unneccesary strain on the hoses, but im sure a lot of ppl will disagree with me on that one. i also read something about changing the PCV valve, which is really easy to do, but i havent done it yet. make sure u also check ur brake pads, and brake and power steering fluid to make sure the fluid is the correct color. thats all i can think of for now. good luck!
