XERD Headers Group Buy!

Postby XERD » Mon Nov 17, 2003 5:20 pm

Hello,

I got a few requests to actually make a new post and title it "group buy" so here it is

The Solara headers are now in production, we wont start shipping until late December or Jan sometime.

We are now taking orders!

Those who didnt see the pictures go to http://community.webshots.com/user/xerd

I worked out a better price for everyone.

We dont need a minimum amount of people in order to make these headers however the retail price went up a little bit because of that.

The new retail price would be $1,199.00 however all orders received before 12/15/03 will be able to purchase the headers for a one time only special pricing of $899.00. According to the interest we had before we decided to give you the $899.00 price instead of the $999.00 without a minimum. We hope you take advantage of it because you will never be able to find this price again, our dealers dont even get such a good price.

This is our thank you for showing your support.

Our exhaust system and intake would be the next parts to be released. We will also offer special pricing on those items however we will offer even better pricing to those who already purchased the headers.

Those of you who want to place an order for the headers we take paypal payments or money orders.

We dont need full payment, all we require is a 50% deposit in order to get on this group buy. We understand that not everyone can come up with that kind of money in such a short period of time so we are willing to honor the group buy price for everyone who makes a 50% deposit on the header by the 15th of December and the rest of the balance when the headers are ready to ship or when you have the money.

In order to place your order and get the $899.00 price we will need your order by 12/15/03. To place your order you can reach us at 818-889-3737 or e-mail us at sales@xerd.com or xerdsales@aol.com.

Thank you very much. Eyal

hello,

Ok, we have 5 people so far, some said they will purchase before the group buy is over.

If you mean to get in on this group buy please let us know, even if you wont get it until mid December, it would help us to keep track of how many headers we will order.

Also keep in mind the price will never be lower then it is right now, if you are really interested, this is the best time to purchase these headers.

Thanx, Eyal

I was perusing Xerd's site, and was wondering what makes the solara headers worth so much more than the others listed here. Less of a market for them so you jack up the price to recoup? Harder to manufacture? I understand the group buy is for 899$, but thats the highest normal price for any other header set that you offer. Do all header kits start at this price maybe?

bash0,

Thats a very good point.

The reason for the pricing is mainly the market size, this is a factor that we have to consider when we make parts. The 2nd reason is these headers are actually the most involved as far as manufacturing goes. We have an X amount of units that we stock each year and so far the Solara header while is a very nice system, it will also be our lowest quantity selling headers. If we can get 100 orders then we can lower the price dramatically but that's not the case.

We take all of the factors and thats what makes us come up with the price.

This is our most expansive unit yet but then again this is also our smallest market, in order to actually make a quality product we had to price it this way.

Maybe do a poll and give a low price if there were 100 orders, and see if 100 people would go for the offer. I'm not saying do it for real, but just take a poll and see what the results are. If at least 100 people are willing to go for that low price, then that might mean something.

SpikedMantis,

Its not a bad idea however it would take too long to get 100 people if at all and we cant wait with the production.

This is why the price is now offered at $899.00 which is a good price actually. We have about 9 people so far that we will buying the headers and we are sure once people will start sharing their thoughts about it more people would buy.

The Solara was a fun car to work on and we are really happy and impressed with the results we got so far. We are aware that its a small market compared to others but we like offering good products for cars that deserve them :)

Eyal, I am still interested in the headers but money is tight right now, I might be able to come up with the $899 before the 15th. I am planning on driving to vegas on the 19th of december and if I order before the deadline I could pick up the headers on the way back on the 22nd? would they be ready by then? also I have a Supercharged Auto; is there any way we can work something out where you can install the headers and dyno the car? I am really just looking for a cheap or free way to get them installed, but it would also give you a opprotunity to see what kinds of gains can be made my car currently makes 186hp and 204ftlb the last time I had it dynoed.

Thanks

Nick

kondo,

I just changed the group buy a little bit, go read my first post again for the details, that should take care of the money issue.

As for the install we cant offer a free install or a free dyno as it is not our dyno. We can do all of the above however for a fee. Contact me direct if you are interested in doing that.

The headers should be in end of December to Mid Jan so i cant promise that they will be here on the 22nd.
