Headlight cleaning

I haven't attempted to remove headlights yet...but a long time ago someone suggeted this to me:
get a long-thin-ruler and get tie a cotton cloth to the tip of the ruler (ruler+rag=GIANT q-tip)...add some engine degreeser to the cotton rag..and scrub away...you might not get in at all the nook and corners, but you'll get em cleaned a bit!

Too Much Info! just keep it clean!

if can get the headlights out (not pried open) but out...then your half way there...just spray some degreeser and let the gravity do the work for you....and then take the GIANT Q-TIP (discussed earlier) and wipe it clean as much as you can......

but isn't there like a thing inside the head lights that kinda covers your bulb? how do you get around that?

Yeah! I totally forgot about that little thing!! hmmmm

it's real easy to remove. you just need a tiny torx bit screw driver...much similar to the kind that removes cell phone screws.

Picked up some stuff called Blue Magic plastic and plexiglass cleaner at Autozone today. Works like a charm, removed the hazing and light scratches. Headlights look much clearer now. You apply it like a wax, except your really gotta rub the stuff in hard with a clean cotton cloth. Let it haze up and buff away.

As I was working at the business end of my car I noticed my passenger side fog light has tons of condensation in it. Any ideas?

Mine had haze on both headlights, tried that blue magic plastic plexiglass cleaner from autozone and my headlight is crystal clear!! I was thinking about getting new headlights but cleaning is cheaper and .....cheaper.. he he

BTW, bassthrive you have exact same car as mine..he he well except for the nice rims you got....I still have stock 16"

i have a haze over my headlights, but i really don't think it's on the outside of it. it looks like some condensation got into the light and got dirty. is that what your lights looked like too?

my headlight had yellow haze on outside. Haze covered top 2/3 portion of headlight and bottom 1/3 was clear still. I don't think I had a condensation. But I couldn't see inside clearly because outside was dirty. I think I buffed it with plastic cleaner 3 times to get it look clear. It's worth it I think to try it out. My car looks sooooooo new now.
