cutting springs

i used a die grinder too.. so u cut 1/2 a coil?? i was told that if i was to cut one inch of a coil it would lower it one inch so id id it and barely did anything so i did it again justincase and didnt do much so i'm going to do wut u did.. do u haev any pics of yours?

i don't think cutting half an inch would make a difference, because that's un-compressed.

on my camry, there's still a pretty big gap in the front, but the car looks level. the gap in the rear is almost non-existent.

sorry, i don't have any digital pictures. i'm still very low-tech. in fact, the computer i use is my work's computer.

i'll try and borrow my friend's digital camera tomorrow. eventually, he'll get a scanner, and i can scan all my 35mm pix that i've taken.

oh, by the way, i only cut the fronts. the rear springs almost eliminated the gap without me doing anything to them.

after you guys cut your springs you might wanna check to make sure your allignment,camber, etc are still ok....my friend did that to his civic and never go it checked out and later when he got a flat tire the entire outside of the tire was worn down to the steel belt while the inside was fine....

the alignment guy said i was just in spec, so i guess it's ok. here's some pix. also, i plan to get some 50 series tires when my current ones (45) need replacing, so that'll fill up the gap a little more.

sorry, i don't know how to work this computer. i think you could try copying and pasting. and you might have to add ".jpg" on the end.

p.s. i didn't take any afternoon pix, because my car was dirty.

Yes 50 series are better if your staying with your rims. Nice website.
