Battery Question

Battery Question

Postby SC V6 » Fri Dec 12, 2003 1:33 pm

I am storing my Solara for the winter, and I was wondering if I was going to keep it hooked up to a charger, which one would I get? I know that the battery will eventually drain, and rather than have the chance of ruining it, I'd rather get a charger and leave it hooked up, so that it would get just enough juice to keep it from draining...
any ideas?

will you be away? if not, then start the car and let it idle for 10 mins twice a week or something.

I've decided to get a 1-amp trickle charger, but I was wondering if I were to connect my front and back battery's w\ cables, and then hook the charger up to the front battery, would it charge both enough to have them not die???

p.s. if that doesn't work, is there any other way to do it other than having to get 2 chargers???

i've heard of this product from californiacarcover..or something like that it keeps your battery goodwhen you store it, i think the hot roders use it to store their hot rods when its not in shows.

I dunno how good of an idea it is to store a car without starting it AT ALL. Gas could turn to "something" and clog up lines/injectors I would think. I know it's like that on carbed cars, trust me!!
