Nice times but I hate to say your engine won't be able to handle the 100 shot for too long.

Did you do any other supporting upgrades?

better think about stronger internals b4 its too late....just cuz it hasn't blown yet doesn't mean its "safe". it sucks to overestimate your engine's strentgh then one day blow it up...

Bah. A 100 shot probably isn't going to kill a 3.0L engine. I don't know the factory compression (anyone?), but if it's around 9:1 or so, a 100 shot won't be great, but it won't kill anything right away. I'd be interested to see what a before / after compression check on that car looks like though. There's no way you're NOT damaging some portion of that engine.

if our cars had the 2JZ-GTE...the engine would be much stronger, but the engines we have are not that strong...

The compression of the 1MZFE is 10.5:1. Since he's running this pretty regularly, I've got to think some damage is going to show up at some point. To me, the risk to the engine just doesn't seem worth it for the occasional burst of speed. To each his own, though.

All for 1 or 2 seconds. ?? Thats not worth it to me. Unless I am going to gut it out to race. my .02 cents.

ITs been about 7 months now but i will test it agian and let you guys know what heppen Before i take the heads off next week My old man is going to port and polish the head and the intake and trottle body. ANd he said he is gonna use a thinker headgasket.. He said between that the heads being more high flow i whould be able to run a 125 shot.. I hope the clucth holds, still have the orginal clucth in it..

Our engines are solid daily drivers though, right?? I'm talking 250K if maintained. Maybe not bulletproof like stock internals can take major upgrades like hella NOS. I hope our engine is weak only when talking forced induction...

Yes, it's a solid daily driver. The engine is good for the long haul unless you start trying to make a lot of power from it. When these guys are saying that it's not that strong, they are referring to having to strengthen the internals to deal with a lot of extra boost.
