i saw in one earlier posts that HID conversions were banned as of Aug 2003 - is that true? I wonder because I can't find any websites selling g-garage or mcculloch.
Where can I buy the G-Garage or McCulloch HID conversion kits?

rufus129 is dealing McCulloch

August ban - It seems to be true because many people have pulled HIDs from their sales lists. You can still find a few kits lerking around eBay though

xrave - how long have you had your HID kit in? not long right? any problems? also is the plug and play really as easy it sounds? i haven't decided if i'm going to get a headunit or a HID kit at the moment - I might lean for the HID's because they seem harder and harder to find though. How much is rufus129 selling his kits for?
oh yeah, we're 9006's right?

I've had it for 2 - 3 months. I have McCulloch 4500K 9006. No problems. The "wiring" took about 10 minutes. The mounting of the ballasts (using dbl sided tape) took about 30 minutes (finding a place, cleaning it, and mounting). The install is easy (but it takes some more effort if you're a V6, damn ABS =D).

Headlights: 9006 bulb is for 02+ while H4 bulbs are for 99-01.
Foglights: 9006 in all years

Price: I think they were $400 + shipping (PM him, I'm not 100% sure)

I've had the G-garage HID's for about 6 to 7 months now ( i think ) and i haven't had any problems with them.. I however did have a problem in the beginning. I got a defective bulb. But G-garage exchange that for me and i haven't had a problem since.

I got them for $460 shipped<~ I got ripped. But its all good..

If you have a 99, u'll lose high beams and they come on once u put the ebrake down and won't turn off till u turn off the engine.

The HIDs will come on like having DRLs, even if u unplugged the gray connector.
I always have the ebrake up when parked. After turning on the engine and putting the ebrake down that's when the DRLs come on.

i mounted my ballasts on the side wall next to the abs, and on the battery. i don't think the battery is a good idea but i couldn't find anywhere else to put them. i have osram ballasts, with 8000k bulbs. they are not too blue though. they are more of a light blue. i think it might be almost 6000k. i like them a lot

yeah - i'd be a lil nervous about mounting them on the battery but i'm not sure where else there's good room - where have any 99 HID conversion-ers (u like that word, huh) put the ballasts?
