I just became a volunteer fire fighter recently and I had to get one of those blue strobing lights on my dash board to alert other drivers to let me through on the way to a call. This does alert people but I want something more. I don't want to go as far as having the strobe systems installed into my head and tail lights becasue I don't want to pay the $600 it costs, I just spent $250 on the freakin dash light. What I wanna do is find out if I can possibly make my front blinkers alternate their blink in a left to right motion and the same in the rear opposing direction of the front blinkers. I only want this when I turn on my hazzards. Does anyone know if I can make that happen? I'd probably need some kind of a relay or something, anyone know what kind and where I could find this?

the blue strobing light should be sufficent enough. just what ^ said, i highly doubt you will be able to use more than the blue strobe light. you are not an official agent of the city.

Air horns...sound good..lol I can use strobes and all, I"m allowed to since I am an official employee of the city and I"m certified by the county. I don't have to have the head light strobes or anything, I was just curious if this was a cheap mod or something tht I could do.

Krawzyazn, where did you get this police wig wag?

You can also try Gall's Inc. (galls.com). They have headlight wig-wag systems, although I don't know how compatible they will be with Toyota. The LED units are great too, very bright, don't burn out, and draw very little amperage.

I'm in Suffolk, work in Nassau. You're a volunteer with MFD, 23? And by the way, as far as the Gall's one, they also carry other name brands, not just their own. Some of their own equipment is less than optimal, but the website/catalog is worth browsing. I tend to buy at local "buff" shops.
