Question about EBC

Postby GoT_TRD » Sun Dec 28, 2003 2:06 pm

For all of you supercharged, 1MZ FE guys, did you hook up your ebc? Would it do anything if i didnt? I have a 98 Automatic Camry and on the revised installation manual it says on Manual Camrys to re-install the glovebox. The only reason the glovebox would be taken off is to hook up the EBC. I figure if thats only for manuals, than i dont need it on the automatic??

EBC for auto = cutting off boost inbetween shifts and no boost in 1st gear.

Not cutting off boost inbetween gears = Tranny fluid goes bad due to heat and tranny dies due to lack of lubrication.

It also adds redline cut

The EBC was designed for the auto tranny.

BTW, not having boost in 1st gear is kinda up for debate
