Stock talk about the Generation 1 and 1.5 Toyota Solara which were produced from 1999 to 2003.

I"d like your opinion for my interior

The white would get rid of the wood grain look and just make it look red. I think the wood grain messes up the look. I used to work at a body shop and have a lot of experience with painting car parts. The purpose of the white is to make the red look the best. When ever your paint someting you want to put a coat of primer or white on the bottom. If you really wanted to get crazy I would spray clear over the red and the finish would look shinny. just my opinion I give you credit for trying something original.

The finish is REALLY shiny, it almost looks like fiberglass. I just finished half of the wood trim, I made it black a sample of pics are below, but click the cardomain link for all of them.

Clean those seats, yo. I agree primer is a good idea, esp. on plastic stuff that gets a lot of traffic/use. Prep is the key to any paint, but esp. plastic-- it shows every blemish whether it be armor all not removed or dust...

So what exactly did you do to paint the wood trim black?
And how did you get the wood trim off without breaking or bending it?

hahaha, YES, I DO have Superman floor mats with my name on them. hah, I'm a nerd I know. Anyway, I just carefully pryed off the wood trim. It's glued in in a few places on the door, but it snaps right back in, no problem. I actually used Acrylic paint to paint them and they came out great. It really looks much more solid with black instead of wood trim.
I really cant stress enough how little justice the pictures serve, cuz it looks much better in person. And yes it does look somewhat funny, the red with tan, but I did this as a project for myself and I really like the result, its much more pleasing to the eye in person and was fun to do. Of course I wish I had the charcoal interior and not the tan, but theres not much I can do about that. I really appreciate everyone's honest comments. Take care all.
