parts + about $1000 labor was the 'hook up' price... I have a 1MZ-FE manual tranny laying around in the shop if you're interested =P

In the HP you'd gain, you'd get more by spending the cash on other HP mods. As for the fun of it, you're better off just trading the car in for a manual. If you got $$ to burn though, then go for it....or give some of it to me, I'd like some :D

(rough estimates here)

trans = $2500
labor = 11hrs @ $88/hr = $968

this does not include possible snags. such as the possibility of having to remove the engine to get everything to fit.

bottom line, its not worth it, don't waste your time trying.

Just sell it and buy the 5 spd. Conversions like that are almost never worth the time, money, or heartache.
