Solara C/F Invader Hood Group Buy-need 10 people

I'm posting this for Sportivo Concecepts from ToyotaNation which was originally for the Camry, but will try for Solara owners:

With the new year ringing in we at Sportivo Conepts thought it would be a great yea, but it started off on the wrong fopt for us.

Due to vandalism and theft and around 40k worth of damages, we will not be able to make the C/F Invader Hood like we expected, but we will still offer these on the same terms as before. We have outsourced the job to JSP America.

They will be making the hoods to my specifications, including the OE crumple zones and everything else.

The terms and conditions are the same as before including the price. I will be talking to them again on Thursday to talk about away to drop ship the hoods to everybody otherwise it will be shipped to me and then shipped out, taking longer.

The group buy is still on, I repeat the group buy is still on and all terms, conditions, and prices will remain the same.

Just give me a couple of days to work out something for shipping.

Thank you guys for your support and everything else. I will get this done no matter what.

For those who don't know, the hoods are $575 to Toyotanation members ($585 for everybody else) with a $300 deposit. Once the hoods are complete the the remaining balance is due which will be $275. All prices are in US dollars.

The warranty orinally set by us is also still in place, so nothing have really changed except that we will not be making them but JSP will for us.

If it's the invader style the same as VIS then it would look something like this:

I'd be interested depending on how much they make the shipping costs.

Man, I really like the evolution hood having the vent on the driver side. That looks like it would help in cooling for those of us with a short ram intake.Image

I emailed him about it. I will let you know when I find out. I really hope so. From my previous post with the pics, it looks like the evolution hood does, so maybe the invader will too.

575 + shippping is alot for a carbon fiber hood groupbuy in my opinion, what is their MSRP? Where is it going to be produce? and what is expect time need to produce those hoods. and Where you can pick up the hood?

There is no MSRP on the hood cause they have never every been produced for the Solara before

$575 is not alot for a Carbon Fiber hood, especially when it will be one that is being produce for a limited time only, and completely handmade. We are the only company that produce completely D.O.T compliant hoods.

You have to remember that this is a custom job and not a regular run production model.

Normal production times is about 2 months. Read the post above you. Unlike the Camry Hoods that are being produce, we will be doing these ourselves.

If you in the NYC Metro/Long Island Area we will nad deliver these to you otherwise asipping is required unless you come and pick them up yourselves

Hi, I would like to tell you guys alittle bit about myself and my company.

The name of my company is Called Sportivo Concepts and has 3 locations in the US and 1 location is Osaka Japan. Until recently our main focus and function has been in Japan. We are a privately traded company that has been producing and selling aftermarket parts for Toyota vehicles since 1984. We have worked with Toyota Japan on many projects for the Japanese market. We have for the ten years have been an importer of Toyota cars, trucks, buses and boats to the US. In 2003 we have had a major company overhaul along with a name change from T-TC to Sportivo Concepts, as well as our key entrance in the US Market.

So far we had made products for various clubs/organizations and companies including but not limited, the Prius, Echo, IS300, 3rd and 4th Gen Camry, the Corolla and many more.

Count me in for this CF hood. If possible....can the hood have predrilled holes for our washers? I'm sure some people here would like to have the luxury of those holes already there.
