What to do with Stock Parts after replacement

What to do with Stock Parts after replacement

Postby xyntax » Mon Jan 12, 2004 1:22 pm

Where or what do you guys do with your stock parts? I don't have a good idea what to do with my stock parts with the fact that I live in an apartment with little room for stock rims, exhaust, suspension, etc lying around.

Is there a good place where you can sell them for cash? What about storage? Any idea would be helpful.

btw, this is one of the issues holding me back from getting more parts for my car.

:-?

I had this same problem. I have such limited space. I just recently went to public storage down the street from my house and rented a small garage for $15 bucks a month. I have my stock tires, 2 set of extra subs, some amps, a headunit. stock springs struts, RSB. some tools, and alot of junk that i no longer us as often in there. the space was about a 10'ft in dept by 8' tall and 8' in length space.

I stored all my extra stock parts there.

thats the best bet..

I live in a one bedroom and I had my whole exhaust, my intake manifold my old set of chrome rims 4 amps 2 decks and my whole stock system, plus my clear colrners and my front and rear sway bars all cramed in half of my closet. After a year of begging my dad he finnaly let me put all the crap in his atic. When I was moving the stuff I told my dad I was thinking about buying a carbon fibre hood and his respose was "where the hell are you going to put it because it aint going to be here" So I bought a bunch of stickers instead.

Public self storage is your friend, good people. I live in a one bedroom and I still have a grip of parts in my apt. You could sell the goods on ebay, but they will be gone if you ever want to go back to stock or have a wreck. I rarely get rid of stock stuff.

Yeah, I was looking at Public Storage too. There's one really close to my work, but the cheapest I could get is $70+ a month. Anyone here know cheap storage around San Jose or Santa Clara County?

I toss it out :D. I am not worried about resale though, as I am over 105k miles now :D. I should hit 200k about the same time I finish paying for the car.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

Every time I move, the stuff gets moved, and it is a pain in the A$$. I sold the rims, threw out the sway bar & muffler. I kept the manifolds (intake & exhaust) & Y-pipe in case I need them for disatrous reaons.

Wow, a 10 x 8 ft space for $15 per month. Good find! I never heard of space that cheap.

yup. I live in san dimas and there was a new public storage place that opened about 2 months ago.. so i went over there and it must be a promotional price or something.. But i dont plan to keep it there after the yr. I signed a 1 yr lease for the space.. for $15.00 bucks a month.. I think that was the catch that i would have to keep it for 1 yr...
