spark plug wires

Postby atokuz » Tue Jan 20, 2004 1:08 am

Hi,
I was wondering if i wanted to change all my spark plugs and spark wires, do i have to buy 2 sets of wires?
The online photos only shows 3 connector. I guess i need two of those to cover all my 6 spark plugs?
is that true? and should i also buy spark plug seals when i am changing spark plugs?

thanks

They are complete in one set.

www.sparkplugs.com

I just got mine from there. (All 4 wires)

Each wire is unique to the firing order.

Yes, I do have a 2000 SLE V6. and I have decided to buy NGK TE65 sets for spark plugs. (i am also buying NGK laser double platinum sparks) Should i buy 2 sets of NGK TE65 wires or 1 will be enough for all?

Yeah I realize he has a v6. Don't let the low prices deceive you! That is for a complete set. You can't go by "Picutes" they have the same pic for the 5SFE also.

TE65 $36.64 1MZFE
TE58 $28.38 5SFE

That "3" you see in the engine field is for the size. "3.0"

I do have a Sienna that also has a 1MZFE and uses the same part number for the wires.

All you need is that set of three wires for the V6's. I've had mine replaced with magnecor wires. I have 99 V6 auto.

I got the NGK's. There are only three wires because the coil packs in the front are directly connected to the sparkplug, whereas in the back there is no pack, thus the need for a wire to provide current for spark.... so yea, only three wires, sparkplug.com is a very nice deal and they are quick, thats where mine are from. Have fun :D
