hehe.... uh, you can't just slap the pulley on there and go with it unless you want to buy a new engine. i'm not an expert on this, but i'm sure someone will confirm this.

oh and you don't produce rpms. rpms are revolutions per minute basically to say how hard your engine is working. you produce hp and torque at certain rpms it's just a way to measure performance.

kubi is exactly correct. The 2.0" pulley would be WAY to small unless you prefer your pistons in pieces . You really should read through the forum. There is a lot of information here regarding what works and what doesn't. In CA with 91 octane gas, the popular opinion is not to exceed 5.5psi. In other areas with 93, 6.0psi seems to work well. If you are in a very high altitude place like Denver, I've heard as high as 7psi. Another thing you should consider is a fuel upgrade. Look in the AfterMarket Upgrades section. -JoeB

I smoked my knock sensors by putting a 6.5 psi pully on with no AFC.

How do you know when you've blow a knock sensor? How much power should the car make at the crank with the sc?

when u blow a knock sensor... u lose a huge amount of power... not only that but the CEL comes on

Well in a manual transmission I think you lose about 15% to the transmission, and the automatics lose more like 20-30%. Most people are getting between 190-220 whp supercharged, I believe with no or basic mods. You do the math.

At the risk of repeating what others have said......you definitely don't want to go with the smallest pulley available. People have had problems with as little as 5.5 psi of boost, and that's a 2.9" pulley. I believe a 2.0" pulley will give you 10 psi of boost. The stock engine in the Solara was not meant for that much boost. As you see from some of the previous posts, the fuel delivery system can't provide enough fuel to match the increased air in the combustion chamber. The stock internals are also not designed for the increased power. There is a lot of information about all of this in the Aftermarket Upgrades section. Give it a read.
