do any of you with the quickshifter have a problem with gears being really stiff? my shifter is pretty stiff and going into gears sometimes doesn't feel to smooth at times. anyone wit similar problems? also in third gear i have to keep my hand on the shifter because it vibrates if i let go and makes an annoying sound.

Some time ago, I was experiencing difficulty getting into 2nd and 1st gears when I was downshifting. That problem was solved by adding some oil to the gear box, and had nothing to do with the quickshifter. Also, my shifter has always vibrated slightly in 3rd gear, even with the stock shifter. It's only noticeable to me, though, because I always have my hand on the shifter. It doesn't make any noise or vibrate so much that it becomes obvious. Maybe it's a problem with your transmission, not your quickshifter.

Ya mine vibrates some in 3rd too, and I don't have a quickshifter.

.....with the 5-speed period. Clutch - engagement point seems a little long - is good; can't hear the throw-out bearing; no grinding and (as noted above) no problems in 50 thou miles. Now the stock suspension (well, that's a hoss of a different color............)

WTF? Alright, now I don't know about purchasing the TRD short shifter now . . . well, I've never had any problem with the shifting. Actually, that is one of the outstanding reasons why I got my 99 Solara. The shifting felt so good. Maybe it's because I had a Prelude SH before or something  RIP. But, yea. If you have problems with the shifting, I recommend getting the TRD clutch cause it is MEAN!!! I love it. Peace.
