EGR Code but EGR Valve working correctly?
Last night I took my car for brake pads & rotor resurface @ Toyota and asked them to check out what was up with the check engine light. They came back and said that it was giving them an EGR code. They checked the EGR valve and said it was working correctly. They cleared the code and asked that if the light comes back on to take it back and leave it with them overnight to test @ cold start. Of coarse 10 minutes later the light came back on while driving on the highway back home.
Should I take it back since there is no real problem? My thoughts are Bad sensor corosion/conection thinking there is something wrong with the EGR so it sends an error code? Sorry I did not ask for the code. Anyway I can clean the connections?
Info: 47K, great with tune-ups and maintenance.
