They are definately worth it. As a standalone mod they won't do much, but if you are doing brakes they are a must to get the maximium potential out of them

so then to switch to the SS brake line I would need to bleed them w\ a buddy... then I would need a flare wrench.. now what is it exactly that needs the flare wrench?

you dont need flare wrenches... i used general ones.

flare wrenches will give more grip and fit the nut more securely.

That nut is on there pretty tight. The flare wrench grabs 2 extra angles on the nut (like a closed end wrench) to prevent stripping and knuckle busting. The cut on the end of the wrench is so that it can slip over the brake line. Otherwise it would be impossible to use a closed end wrench. I bought a Craftsman for $15 at Sears. -JoeB

DON'T USE OPEN WRENCH.

Don't cheap out on that flare wrench, or you will be like me, stripping all those aluminum bolts, it may result in you buying a new metal brakeline to run from the mastercylinder to the the wheel (and you have to get the car towed to Toyota to replace all that crap). I ended up having the car on jackstands for 2 weeks and I fixed all the stripped bolts eventually.

Yup, used everything... apparently Toyota overtorqued the bolts. :(

Anyways, basically I had to file the bolts into smaller sizes and use a smaller size wrench to take them off. It was such a hassle.

There are no difference, they are the same and they are very puny.

The brakeline should fit all Gen1 Solara and Gen4 Camry.

My Suggestion:
Buy the big rotor kit adapter from EricSol while he still has them and buy 2 MKIV Supra TT front rotors. I stop on a dime with these big rotors.
