I know the pistons aren't and doubt the crank is either. I would recommend JE for the pistons. Even if they don't have them for the application, they can make them in about 6 weeks. -JoeB

yeah, w\ an auto I have 247 at the wheel... but in the summer a friend of mine (who just graduated from WyoTech) is going to rebuild my tranny w\ the level-ten supplys... and he wants to hook up nitrous and make it rear wheel drive... so.. its only going to get faster... its going to be awsome.. I can already kill a mustang GT stick by 9 car lengths at 80mph

well my buddy wanted to throw a supra 6 speed for a tranny under there.. but for there to be a drive shaft going back there would have to be some custom work done.. not quite what my buddy has in mind... He said it wouldn't be that bad... so... not quite sure as far as specifics... so... we will see

how is RWD going to work on a solara.. i've looked and thought and wondered manmy times.. the body of this car seems like it really shoud be RWD and many ppl ask me if it is and i always say i wish it was.. wut plans does ur friend have to do that? u'd need a new Subframe, reroute the exhaust, rebuild or reconstruct the rear and suspension components.. so its not an easy task.. lol

yeah basically the whole underside would have to be custom... the engine would have to be turned in the engine bay so the drive shaft would go straight back.. if we were going to do it I was thinking about dropping a supra 6 speed in there... my buddy seems confident that it wouldn't be too hard.. hes going threw all the classes that we would need.. its just a matter of time now

y wouldnt you just put a N/A Supra Motor in ther ewhile ur at it.. the Inline 6 make more power per mod... then u can either mate up the 6spd or 5 spd no problem... and use the supra driveshafts but u'll probably need to shorten them a lil and then u can use the supra rearend... hmm thats an amazing idea i came up with.. lol :o
