I may be misinformed... but the Y-pipe is the piece that makes the exhaust from the two manifolds into one... I have a V-6... If its not a Y-pipe please tell me... Thank you very much

the custom Y pipe will work with whatever muffler you want.

its all up to the muffler shop to fabricate it.

TRDmole you seem to know about this custom y-pipe your the one who told me about a few months ago. When I ask for a modified Y-pipe what are my goals of this modifaction.. What do I ask the shop to do for me? Do i want a larger pipe? smoother flow?

that's correct,

but the serparation is also supposedly correct to be called another "Y" for the tail end exhausts. unless there is another name for it.
