I used mine for about 2 months when I first got it. Then took it off for the winter and just put it back on a few days ago. Brakes feel more responsive, not much of the sluggish feel in the pedal. Looks a lot better too.

that's interesting that you took it off after two months, because i was curious about the wear, since the pads don't cover the whole rotor. did you have a chance to check it over? i'm curious if the rotor wears uneven or anything?

thanks

I took it off because my 17" has kumhos on them and they suck in snow. To put on my stock 16s, I had to switch back to stock rotors.

The wear is pretty even...I'll take a pic when I get the chance.

I just ran my car on the 2.2 mile road coarse at Fontana with the brakes. No fade or excessive wear during my 35 minute session. I am using the Porterfield pads.

Amazing was.....going around a Viper inbetween 1 & 2 on the outside at 120mph. Jose was with me, even he had to smile at that!

I forgot this, my car was perfectly neutral. Stock front sway bar and TRD rear on track. I pushed before with the Whiteline front bar. Anybody want to buy a Whiteline?

I did nothing for wheel hop. All it did was cost me front end grip.

i read over the original post again. does it look weird that the front is a big brake, but the rear is still the stock size? the rear already looks tiny compared to the front.

will you be/are you working on a way to relocate the rear calipers to instal a larger disc there as well? i may want to wait for that before upgrading the front.

interesting about the front and rear swaybars. i was thinking of both of those for one of my next upgrades. there is very little wheel hop now, with my intrax (cut half a coil) and tokikos. i have the 7psi with jim's heads and your exhaust. maybe the fsb would eliminate that tiny last bit of hop? do you have a CAI or one of those extensions?

thanks,
jerold

You'll need bigger calipers in the back to go with bigger rotors. And with the drum/disc combo i wouldn't even want to mess with it.

There isn't any oem rotors that will fit the rear that are larger then stock so no caliper relocation for the rear.

I noticed no difference in wheel hop with the bigger front bar, just understeer.
