I am lowered, will 17x7.5 and 225/45-17 rub?

I just purchased 17x7.5 Kosei K1 Racing Silver and 225/45WR-17 Yokohama AVS ES100 from Tire Tack. A Tire Rack Rep said that this size rubs on the inside strut? He probably meant the stock strut? I am lowered with Eibach/Tokico.

I read a bunch of other posts here, and you guys said that 225/45-17 will not rub. I just want to make sure!

nope..they wont rub. I have 225/40/17 tires on 17x17.5 konig glide rims and my car is lowerd with tokico and teins. My car does not rub but it scrapes on everything so be carefull going over speed bumps and curbs.

Lies! They told me that too. I was like, "Then why does TRD use that size in their 17 inch wheel package?" They promptly shipped my tyres. You'll be fine on the tyre at least. I am not 100% sure about the wheel, as I have a 17x7 (not 7.5) w/ 225/45/17 tyres.

if it does rub against your strut, you can always get spacers

I have 18 " with Tien/Tokico which is lower and there is no rub, what offset do you have?

The Wheel Offset for the Kosei K1 Racing is +45mm.

with 225 and +45 offset you shouldn't rub, but then there's always that chance.

I have 43 as compaired to the recomended 40, but my tires up front have the worst positive camber bringing them in atleast another 2 mm up top... you should be fine.

cool! can't wait to see them on your car! i got 235/40/18 on a 18x7 wheels w/38 offset. No rubbing. I got your same tire brand - Let me know if you get any road noise cause I want to make sure I'm not the only one. They are supper sticky though!! Better braking and cornering
