HELP!!!! small hose under car leaking

HELP!!!! small hose under car leaking

Postby that1mexguy » Wed Mar 03, 2004 7:32 am

Hey guys, last night as i was leaving my local Home Depot, i noticed there was some water under my ride, so when i pulled up, i looked under the car and i was able to notice that there is some small hose sticking out and leaking what appears to be just water.... NEVER had i seen the car leak and when i tried going under to see if i could just plug it back to something, i didnt see anything!!! Is this normal?! :o

we get the point of "help" no need to expand it or make it as if you're falling down the well.

either the ac drain or the sunroof drain, do you have a sunroof?

if its water, you have no worries, if you're sure its not water, have it looked at.

mysterious little tube under the car ......

Postby that1mexguy » Wed Mar 03, 2004 12:00 pm

yeah, it's about 4 inches coming out the bottom of the car, closer to the passenger side and yes i have a sunroof as well... what gets me tho is that (1) it wasnt raining (2) the sunroof is closed, HAS been closed for a while (3) i havent used the AC at ALL and (4) it was leaking a good amount of water.... unless it's something else, but it looked like water, it felt like water... and i'd like to say it tasted like water but i didnt go that far.

Just found your topic mexguy. Sorry to say but I never seen this tube your talking about. It did rain last night and a bit yesterday so when exactly was this? if the amount of water is like you described it has to be something else.

i know it was raining a little bit up north but down here it wasnt man... and it wasnt much, i'd say a drop of water every 2-3 seconds and leaving a trail when i would leave the drive way.. if u can, take a look at ur ride when u get a chance and let me know if u see it

well i talked to a buddy of mine who used to be a toyota mechanic and he confirmed that it is in fact the AC drain.... although i have not used my AC, there might have been some condensation inside the car due to recent temperature changes in the environement. I feel a whole lot better now
